There’s something really special about a winter wedding in Seattle, especially when you get to spend the day with two people as easygoing and genuinely in love as Michelle and Ryan. Their classy indoor wedding at the Olympic Rooftop Pavilion in Ballard was the perfect mix of elegant and relaxed, and honestly, it suited them so well.
Michelle and Ryan just glow when they’re together. They have this really natural way of being around each other that made the entire day feel effortless. They even got ready together before their photography coverage started, which set the tone for the rest of the day. No rushing around, no stressing over every little detail. Just the two of them enjoying their wedding and being completely themselves.
A Classy Winter Wedding in Ballard
Wedding photography at Olympic Rooftop Pavilion is a dream, especially for couples who want a polished Seattle wedding without sacrificing personality. The indoor space gave everyone a cozy place to settle in from the winter weather, while the windows brought in those beautiful city views.
Their reception was especially gorgeous. The room felt like it was lit by a candlelight glow, with the Seattle skyline glowing outside the windows. It felt classy without being overly formal, and the warm candlelight made everything feel intimate and inviting.
And then there was the dance floor.
It was popping the entire time.
Everyone was having a ridiculously good time, and the energy was exactly what you want at a wedding reception. Michelle and Ryan may have been laid back all day, but their guests definitely knew how to throw a party.
Wedding Photography in Seattle’s Ballard Neighborhood
One of my favorite things about wedding photography in Seattle’s Ballard neighborhood is that you can get such a great mix of city atmosphere and cozy indoor spaces. For a winter wedding, the Olympic Rooftop Pavilion is especially nice because you can have all the elegance and city views without worrying about being outside in the cold the entire day.
But more than anything, I loved how much this wedding felt like Michelle and Ryan.
They had a beautiful, classy wedding, but they never felt like they were trying to perform being fancy. They were casual, comfortable, and completely at ease with each other from beginning to end. And that made photographing them so much fun.
I just love these two, and getting to document a day that felt so unmistakably them in every way meant the world.
