Seattle Tennis Club Wedding | Dzianis & Paige’s Elegant Celebration on Lake Washington

There are some wedding days that just feel good from the very beginning—and this one at the Seattle Tennis Club was exactly that.

A Sunny Day on Lake Washington

It was one of those perfectly clear Seattle days where the light hits just right. The club sits right on the edge of Lake Washington, and if you’re lucky, you can see Mount Rainier in the distance.

We could just make it out behind Paige and Dzianis during their ceremony—soft and hazy in the sky, like it was quietly showing up just for them.

Getting Ready: Energy From the Start

The energy started early and never really let up.

Paige and her girls spent the morning dancing, laughing, and fully soaking it all in. It felt relaxed, but also like everyone knew this was going to be a really special day.

On the other side, Dzianis and his guys had their own version of the same energy—arms around each other as they danced a classical dance! It’s always one of my favorite things to witness as a candid Washington wedding photographer—those unfiltered, in-between moments that end up meaning the most.

A Ceremony Full of Emotion (and Culture)

The ceremony overlooked the water, with that soft breeze coming off the lake, with the groom wiping his eyes as the bride walked down the aisle.

Those are the moments you can’t fake.

One of the most meaningful parts of the ceremony was hearing Paige speak her vows in Belarusian, honoring Dzianis’ homeland in such a personal way.

They also included a Belarusian tradition where a large ceremonial bread is presented to the couple. Each of them takes a piece, and whoever pulls off the bigger portion is said to be the “head of the house.” It was equal parts heartfelt and hilarious—and honestly, a perfect reflection of them.

Golden Light & Tennis Courts

After the ceremony, we leaned into that beautiful sunlight. 

We took some portraits with the sun glowing behind them – some of my favorite couple’s portraits of all time. Afterwards, we headed somewhere that felt especially them—the tennis courts. Dzianis, being an incredible tennis player, had one request: photos on the court.

So naturally, we made it happen. 🙂

A Reception That Did Not Sit Still

The reception kicked off with something I don’t see often—but absolutely loved: trivia.

They had the entire room laughing, shouting answers, and literally jumping out of their seats. It set the tone for the rest of the night in the best way.

And when I say the dance floor was packed… I mean it stayed packed.

At one point, “Living on a Prayer” came on, and Paige’s dad was fully screaming the chorus like it was a stadium show. 

A Perfect Day on Lake Washington

From the thoughtful cultural traditions to the kind of scenery you just can’t replicate, to a couple that made the entire day feel like you wanted to hold your breath in order not to miss a thing—this Seattle Tennis Club wedding really had it all.

Paige and Dzianis created a day that felt true to them in every way, and being there to document it as their candid Washington wedding photographer was something I won’t forget anytime soon.
